Dakota Twitty set to commit on May 26th

On May 26th at 10 am EST, Dakota Twitty is a 4-star wide receiver. He will be announcing where he will be playing for the upcoming years. Dakota will be choosing between 4 finalists, Yale, Georgia Tech, NC State, and Virginia. Dakota is projected to commit to Virginia according to 247 Sports, Which would be a great pickup for the Cavaliers.

Last season Dakota Twitty’s stats were in 7 games, 35 receptions for 521 yards, and 5 touchdowns. Those stats are pretty decent for only 7 games played last year. When I was watching Dakota’s tape, I saw lots of positives and very few negatives.

Dakota reminds me of Chase Claypool. Twitty is really lengthy, and He’s 6-foot-5 215 pounds. Why I say he reminds me of Claypool is because both of them can make very acrobatic catches. Both players have similar speed and size. Another thing is how good they both are at getting off the line. Dakota has the ability to go up and get the ball in tight coverage. So my pro comparison for Dakota is Chase Claypool because of those things I just talked about.

The only caveat from Dakota is him maintaining his success at the next level. Due to defenders being more physical, but other than that, I think whoever gets Dakota Twitty will get a great wide receiver/tight end hybrid.
