On May 19th, the Texas Longhorns received a new crystal ball prediction for 2022 5-star shooting guard Keyonte George. This crystal ball prediction comes right after Keyonte named his 5 finalists for his recruitment. Keyonte is from Lewisville, Texas, so it makes sense why Texas got this crystal ball.
In Keyonte’s last season, he averaged 23.2 PPG, 2.8 APG, 4.8 RPG, and 2.1 SPG. Those stats show how good of an all-around player he is. And if he can live up to those stats in college or have similar stats in college, he will be a first-round NBA draft pick.
Why Keyonte will benefit the Texas Longhorns basketball program is because 5 of 7 Texas guards are either in their junior or senior seasons. And with them adding Keyonte, they will have more reliable depth in the future. Already in the Longhorns 2021 class, they have acquired sophomore Kentucky transfer 4-star point guard Devin Askew. Last season Devin averaged 6.5 PPG, 2.9 APG, and 2.6 RPG for the Wildcats. Even though he didn’t shoot well last year, only shooting 34.5 FG% and 27.8 3PT%. I think he can still progress into a decent role player at Texas.
I’m currently 100% on my crystal ball predictions; I have a good feeling George will be back in his roots in Texas. Longhorn Nation, please comment below; we would love to hear your thoughts on Keyonte George and why he would benefit Texas.
