The Los Angeles Clippers announced that their star small forward, Kawhi Leonard, has suffered a right knee sprain and will miss game 5 of the Jazz vs. Clippers series. Leonard sustained the injury in game 4, trying to drive to the rim. Leonard has been dealing with lower-body injuries since 2017.
The clippers are already short on players after Serge Ibaka had season-ending back surgery. The Clippers are in a battle with the Utah Jazz tight now as their series is tied 2-2. The winner of this series will advance to the next round to play the Phoenix suns, who will be short on players after Chris Paul entered health and safety protocols.
Kawhi Leonard’s Injury means Tyronn Lue has to make adjustments to his rotations. Expect Terrence Mann and Rajon Rondo to get more minutes since the Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard.
