4-Star cornerback Toriano Pride commits to Clemson

4 Star cornerback Toriano Pride has just committed to the Clemson Tigers. What does this mean for the Clemson Tigers? Why should Clemson fans be excited? Well, I will tell you.

The first thing that I noticed about Toriano was his speed and acceleration. He has played wide receiver and burnt defenders during his high school career because of his speed. This brings me to the next thing his ability to be able to play multiple positions. In Toriano’s highlights, he played cornerback, wide receiver, and running back. Having a guy who can play various positions tells you that they are very athletic. And to add to his athletic ability, he can make good plays from behind wide receivers if he gets beaten off the line. And the last strength is Toriano is very physical off the line, he is very good at jamming wide receivers and cutting off their routes, so they have a hard time getting open. The only weakness I saw from him was he needs to work on his tackling.

In Toriano’s last season, his stats were 22 tackles, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception. That’s only on the defensive side. On the offensive side, he put up 34 rushes for 227 yards and 3 touchdowns. Then he also put up 13 receptions for 340 yards and 5 touchdowns.

My ceiling for Toriano is that he will be in the top 10 all-time interceptions leaders in Clemson history. Then I think he will be a late 2nd round pick to a mid 3rd round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Clemson did a great job recruiting Toriano because he will bring so much physicality and reliable depth for the Clemson Tigers in the years to come. And with reliable depth at the cornerback position, it will keep their defense sharp for years to come.

Clemson Tigers fans get excited for the future because it’s looking even brighter with your new cornerback commit Toriano Pride.
