The Ohio State Buckeyes get some good news today. Louisiana native Tackett Curtis has been projected to head up north to play for Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Curtis is ranked as the no.6 linebacker and the No.62 prospect in the class of 2023. This projection comes after Tackett’s recent visit to Columbus. This article will give a breakdown of Tackett Curtis’s strengths and weaknesses this far into his high school career.
The first thing that immediately stands out when watching Tackett Curtis’s game film is his hit ability. When he hits people, his physicality comes out and match that with his speed; he is like a freight train running into something; it destroys it. The next thing that stands out in his game film is his block shedding ability. If you are an offensive lineman, you will have nightmares about this guy if you have to try to stop him. Because when he gets to his point of attack, he is too fast for an offensive lineman to stop. He just flys right by. The last thing that stands out when you watch Tackett Curtis’s game film is how fast and effectively he makes reads. If he reads the run before the running back can get the ball, he is on his way to hit you its genuinely insane.
The only thing Tackett Curtis needs to work on in his game is adding to his strengths. Also, if he keeps getting stronger every day, he will be lighting everyone up at the college level.
